There are so many alternatives you can use in your cooking to make your dishes healthy, like whole grain, flours, rice or pasta, my favorite flour is spelt an ancient cousin of wheat. You can try alternative fats like olive oil, coconut oil, nut butters, low-fat yoghurts and soft cheeses. For sugar alternatives try palm sugar, stevia, agave nectar, maple syrup, xylitol, fructose, but as always, all in moderation and check with a health practitioner if you have any ongoing health issues.
